This first edition, first issue large folio KJV, designed for pulpit use in churches,
is known as the great "HE" Bible from the mistake found in the last phrase of Ruth 3:15.
It should read "and she went into the city" but in the uncorrected first issue it reads "and
he went into the city.
This Facsimile of the first impression of the original 1611 edition of the King James Bible,
is part of a limited run of 1500 of which this is No.1171 . It was produced for the World Publishing
Company, Cleveland, Ohio, by George Rainbird Ltd., London, and printed in Italy on specially made laid paper.

This is a an excellent full-size facsimile, including illustrated titles,
Genealogies and Map of Canaan.
This first edition, first issue of the "King James" is printed in a large black-letter
("gothic") font, in double-column format within a ruled frame of the era's style, and
with a generous use of woodcut initials and head and tailpieces. There is light toning
to the pages but otherwise there are no faults. Externally, there are signs of careful
strengthening to the hinges and board edges. A very good copy.
