Preceded By an Historical Sketch of the Crusades . London: Printed for the author and sold by John Weale, Architectural Library, London, 1836 0 First edition. 8vo. 10.5" x 6.5" , pp.20/207 . A very good original cloth binding. Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Top & tail of spine carefully strengthened. Recent bookplate to verso of front board. Inner hinges also carefully strengthened and yellow free-endpaper inserted. Title in red & black with dedication in a contemporary hand, with an engraved frontis and 7 further full-page plates (all foxed), plus further woodcut illustrations within the text. Preliminaries include a 11 page list of subscribers. A very good copy of this scarce work. Price: 65.00 GBP
