Second edition. A very good tight binding. 22cm x 14cm. 8vo. pp.118 , with 7 full-page engravings and one fold-out plan of Holyrood, all engraved by J. Petrie. Brown cloth covered boards, with careful strengthening to the spine. Small pink bookseller's label to verso of the front board: "Sold By J. Moddie Miller, Bokseller, 2 Lindsay Place, Edinburgh." Later yellow endpapers. Printed title page, soiled and creased. Other pages lightly soiled and engravings toned. Still a well preserved book and perfectly legible.
