This is a translation of the fac-simile of the Essex Domesday Book published by Sir Henry James in 1863. 4to. 12" x 9.5" . Unpaginated [206pp.] . A very good tight binding. Original blind-stamped decorated boards with gilt title to front boar. Spine carefully re-backed and strengthened with cloth. Title lightly soiled and pages uniformly lightly toned. A well preserved copy of this scarce book.
